This makes me miss having a dog.

My mom sent me a link to an article about just the sort of dog I love having - big, smart; a dynamic blend of duty and mischief.

It's not a good time for us to add a canine to this growing family. Goldfish are about the highest level of pet maintenance that we should tackle for now. It's just that I have almost always had one, and they bring a lot of joy.

So later, when the kids are older ... I will be so excited to have a dog-buddy again.
